Two Mistakes Bloggers make on Social Media - BLOGGER 101
Blogging Tip of the Day
***Two mistakes that I see bloggers make on social media daily.***
1: Bloggers ask for blogs, look for blogs and need blogs because they're individuals trying to get business from strangers due to not engaging in genuine blogger outreach and making friends.
2: Bloggers overload their blog with advertisements because they mistakenly believe that the ads make them money when it's their detailed, targeted, in-depth content that actually makes the money.
If you do not help bloggers with no expectations to earn their friendship you will spend your entire blogging career as a lone wolf trying to convince absolute strangers to go into business with you. This is such a big mistake and a complete waste of time. Blogging friends will actually bring the business and opportunities to you if you help them with no expectations.
Help bloggers from your niche. Comment genuinely on their blogs. Promote them through social media. Expect nothing in return to earn their friendship. An increasing number of these bloggers will promote you, endorse you and some may even go into business for you. That is how to get connected and that is how to drive real quality traffic and real business over the long haul.
You can do very little as a solo act. But 10, 20 or 50 blogging friends behave similar to a blogging company, growing everything exponentially for you.
Give almost all of your attention and energy to publishing detailed, targeted, thorough content that gains reader trust. This way, whatever income streams you choose, you'll make money because income channels are just receiving channels, not earning channels.
Embedding a ton of advertisements on your site makes you look desperate, greedy and needy. This is identical to offering a little bit of help to someone then obsessively selling your business wares, shoving it down their throat.
Go super heavy on the detailed, targeted content and way light on your monetizing channels to make bank.
The content gains the trust so that is what makes you the money. The income channels are simply avenues through which you receive money. Never confuse the two.
