I will not disappoint you - Alhaji Toyiba to delegates
An aspiring Upper West Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Toyiba Mahama has appealed to delegates of the party to consider giving him a chance to lead the party.
According to him, the party would grow leap and bounds under his leadership if given the chance to lead.
He believes that the poor performance of the party in the region in recent times is due to the ineptitude and incompetence on the part of leadship of the party and is therefore calling for their replacement.
He said just as most of the constituency executives were booted out of office, same should be replicated in the regional elections.
He made a passionate appeal to the delegates to try him by allowing him to lead the party, assuring they would not regret making that choice.
The three-time aspiring chairman told delegates it was time they voted for him due to his consistency and loyalty to the party.
The business tycoon cum politician said these on the sidelines of the vetting of aspirants of the party held Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Wa to determine who gets to appear on the ballot paper to participate in the NPP regional elections slated later this month.
Alhaji Toyiba is seeking to unseat the incumbent, chairman S. B. Kangberee who is gunning to serve for his second term.
