LGBTQI+ Activities Banned In Wa.

The Overlord of the Waala Traditional Area, Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo (IV)29 on Thursday July, 2021 met with the Press to register  his displeasure on the immoral act LGBTQI+.

Addressing the media Naa Kadiri Ibrahim on behalf of the Wa Naa, he said this Press conference has become necessary because of the obvious presence of the activities of lesbians, gays,transgenders, queers, etc in the traditional area. The heinous practices which were considered far moved from these parts are not only with us now but are gaining popularity and gathering momentum at an alarming rate. Our fear is that if nothing is done to prevent these activities, most of the youth would soon be drawn into this vortex of doom and our society would be the worst for it.

 as a result of intelligence gathered by the Traditional Council on this group and their activities in the traditional area, the traditional council have convened a stakeholders meeting comprising Chiefs, Tendeme, Yerinamine, Limanhi and leaders of the various Islamic religious sects in the traditional area. 

The traditional council therefore condemned the act and said it should not be permitted to flourish in the jurisdiction. The traditional elders said they cannot permit the decadent behaviour of the dredges of some so-called civilizations to permeate and completely destroy the moral values of Wa.

The overlord, Wa Naa therefore said without prejudice to the outcome of parliament deliberation on the issue, the deviant sexual activities of lesbians, gays, transgenders, queers etc are banned in the Waala traditional area with immediate effect. The punishment for breaching will be swift and served.
